Volunteer Treasurer will need to have their own transport to attend meetings in the Manunda area.

Our volunteer Treasurer will become part of the dedicated committee delivering Tropical Arts programs.

Appointed by the Tropical Arts committee, the Treasurer will join Tropical Arts executive working closely with Tropical Arts Secretary and President.

In this role, the Treasurer will maintain Tropical Arts financial records, arrange payments and invoices and prepare a financial report for committee meetings including the Annual General Meeting. Tropical Arts has few transactions except during major annual theatre productions and particularly when a grant recipient.

Financial records are currently stored on Quickbooks , however, Tropical Arts is open to other bookkeeping methods. The Treasurer has a gmail account and access to shared documents on Google Drive. We will provide support if you don’t have experience with Google programs. You will need to have your own computer/ device.

Tropical Arts is in the process of setting up a small office, however, work from home is preferred at this stage. Management committee meetings are monthly and take 1.5 to 2 hours from 6-8pm on a weeknight agreed by the committee. A regular monthly meeting schedule will soon be advised. The Treasurer can expect an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
