Orientation, Skill Session Training, On the Job, Mental Health First Aid Course


Skills required:
Ability to negotiate and be creative
Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and internet research
Experience in a marketing and promotions role is desirable
Reliability in completing work within the necessary time frames
Driver’s licence ‘C’ Queensland desirable, but not essential

Preferred volunteer attributes:
Tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and discretion in dealing with staff and public are important
Excellent interpersonal and confident communication skills
Exercise initiative and work unsupervised.
Blue card highly regarded

Responsibilities include :

- Building the Foundation’s brand through short and long term marketing and networking strategies
- Composing marketing emails
- Assisting with the composition of promotional material
- PR: Writing a press release periodically with a view to obtaining media coverage
- Assisting with establishing partnership and/or funding opportunities with large or small companies
- Promoting the Foundation’s products e.g. all the workshops and courses
- Comply with and utilise contemporary human resource management requirements and practices including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies
- Perform other duties that may be required from time to time as directed by the Chief Executive Officer – Dr Edward Koch Foundation
